Computer courses are small classes with a maximum of 6 students. Individual
assistance, informal and fun sessions while learning.
Basic Computing & Word Processing
This course will take you from how to turn on your computer to basic
competence in Word Processing.
Ideal for beginners - no computing skills required. Each week will build on the previous week, so it is vital to have your own computer to practice your skills a t home. Each week will build on the previous week and having your own computer to
practice your skills at home would be beneficial. An ability to type 20 words
per minute would be helpful.

Course Information
Basic Computing & Word Processing:
Ideal for beginners - no computing skills required. Each week will build on the previous week, so it is vital to have your own compter to practise your skills at home.
Power Point:
Create basic presentations, using graphics, animation and special effects.
Publisher:
Learn how to use the program to create invitations, brochures and flyers using graphics and borders.
Intermediate Word:
Each week will build on your previous knowledge. Topics include Business Letters, Tables, Mail Merge, Forms, Reports, Styles and inserting files.
Digital Photograpy:
Do you have a Digital Camera and want to print your photos on your home computer? Learn how to use your digital camera to its full potential. Course includes how to compose for portraits and landscapes - download your images to a computer which you can then crop, enhance and give special effects to and finally, print and store.
Excel:
Step-by-step approaches to using Excel by following simple excercises. Learn what Excel is capable of, entering and changing data, perform mathematical calculations, formatting data, filling cells, printing and creating charts.
Internet & Email:
For people who want to become more familiar with the Internet and how to use emails. Learn your way around Internet Explorer and how to use its numerous features. Learn about Search Engines and how to explore the World Wide Web. Learn how to log on and use your email account. Learn how to use Windows Messenger.
Maximum of six students per class for all computer classes.
