About Us
The Aberfoyle Community Centre Incorporated is all about meeting needs of residents, local groups and community members. The Centre is a central meeting place for community activities for local residents.
We co-ordinate craft, leisure and personal development courses and work closely with residents, council, local schools and community groups to meet the needs of residents of the area.

Mission
The Aberfoyle Community Centre Inc responds to individual and community needs by facilitating a diverse and accessible range of social, leisure, recreational and educational activities that develop personal growth, encourage well-being and a sense of identity.
Aims & Objectives
We endeavour to:
- Plan and implement quality and affordable programs in response to community
needs.
- Provide a welcoming environment that fosters participation and community
spirit.
- Encourage, acknowledge, support and train volunteers within the Centre.
- Develop working partnerships, network with other agencies and professional
bodies to continue to create positive pathways for local residents.

Several local groups meet at the Centre. They provide a wide range of activities for residents. From arts and craft to computing or general interest to adult education. Group activities are listed on the Centre Calendar page.

The Active Cognitive Enhancement Program
A Gym for the Mind
Aberfoyle Community Centre 22nd July – 23rd September 2010
The ACE program is a 10 week mental fitness training program, incorporating a variety of challenging mental exercises, puzzles and games, along with training in a number of memory strategies. The ACE program also includes practical lifestyle information on how to maximize brain health, an introduction to a range of relaxation techniques.
The program aims to boost your memory and mental fitness and ACE participants are expected to complete a number of homework activities each week, designed to enhance the learning that occurs in each session.
The ACE program is open to those 55 and over, who do not have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.

Soul Food is a unique monthly event that
provides an opportunity to unite in a tranquil environment and reflect on
inspiring themes an common threads that tie us all together. It features live
music, audio-visual pieces and readings from faiths and philosophers, authors,
leaders and indigenous cultures from all over the world.

Shutter Bug
Bringing together like-minded amateur or novice photographers who are interested in improving their skills. This is a social gathering where members

Immunisation Clinic

Immunisation Accredited Registered Nurses are available at all clinics for advice on immunisation and administration of vaccines and other fee for service programs. For further information contact Council's Immunisation Services Department 8384 0681
The Centre has rooms available for hire for private parties, corporate functions, educational seminars and regular activities. Any questions regarding hiring of a venue can be answered by Anne. Please phone to make an appointment with her.
We are continuing our Accredited Computer Courses and Men's Breakfast.
